Recap
The Covid pandemic cut the Titans inaugural unbeaten Division 3 season short in 2020 taking away their opportunity of a playoff run. The new season, however, sees them enter Division 2 after securing promotion.
Titans got off to a slow start, unable to find a shooting rhythm in the first five minutes. After a time-out, however, they found their feet and energy, as they stamped their mark on Division 2.
In a fast paced game once Titans took the lead they never looked back. Bristol Flyers were up for the challenge, and in the 4th quarter were able to claw back points.
Hayden Alcindor put in a monster performance with 20 rebounds, 11 points, 4 assists and 3 blocks.
In the win, another three of the Titans put up big scores – with Leon Henry leading at 26, Jason Tucker close behind with 25 points, and Daniel Turiccki with 17.
Northamptonshire Titans Division 2 men are in action again next weekend for their first home game of the season in a National Cup match up with Ipswich basketball.
